There would not be a need for an adapter if the camera was sized to that of a film SLR (Yes flange to film plance dist. 45.46mm).
Many of the current small form factor EVILs are made small for the sake of being small anyway (like the NEX+bean can example). They don't end up being pocketable nor balanced as such. The NX10 is more reasonable in size though (ie. bigger).
The SR would probably have to go though, but on the other hand, a smaller more easily holdable camera would have a tad bit more mileage on camera shake with small lenses.
An adapter would likely mean loss of auto aperture and/or AF, which I hope will not be the way. New small lenses would also take away production and development capability from standard APS-C DSLRs.
