Hi all,

I am back from holidays. I just know that I will be engaging in a few events, weddings and ROM shots these coming Nov and Dec, also next Jan.

Basically, I need someone to help me carry my stuffs, hold refectors, look after my stuffs.
You are not working for free. During the wedding day, ang bao will be given to you and I will pay you S$20-S$30 more (might pay on that day). My friend Jack, will also have lobangs. So if I dont need assistant for a particular assignment, Jack will bring you out to assist him.

Please PM me the following:
1) Name, age, gender
2) Experience (with or without)
3) Occupation
4) Where you stay

Five main things I am looking for:

He/She must not interfere with my work during the event/wedding day. I am sure most photographers would expect that too.

He/She need not be strong (but must tahan the heat and sweat) cos I got a trolley, so things will be carried around easily.

He/She needs to be able to operate iBook G4.

He/She needs to be responsible to look after my thing and NOT fringle with it. Although I using DSLR, but its my livelihood tools, my last experience was a guy fringle with my Spare flash and dropped, luckily was dropped back to the bag.

He/She must be independent. I got one more experience with a guy assistant kept asking me "Can go already? Can go already? So late liao."

If you are keen to be my long time assistant, do PM me.

Look, I am not pro or famous but so dont ask me whether am I famous or not and these and that..... If you wanna learn photography and keen to assist people, you are welcome :D

I welcome greenhorn so long He/She can stick to what I listed down.

Regards,
Jac :)

Wah Lau.....

My pasts also dig up to let others know.....

:(

Just a few thoughts to ponder with regards to the above job opportunity.

1) With the kind of pay that the assistant is receiving, he/she will probably take donkey years to save up (provided there are savings) to own a dslr camera and other photography equipments necessary to do a professional job?

2) Don't think there will be a learning opportunity, it will be more likely to be a observation opportunity on the part of the assistant. If the photographer is going to teach the assistant, how would he be able to concentrate on the shoot, communicate with the couples and stay on the alert at the same time?

3) If you find yourself working miserably as an assistant, it will be just as miserable working as a photographer. It is still very much dependent on whether you like what you are shooting and very often after turning pro, you don't get to shoot what you like to shoot.

hey guys, I wonder if there is another session coming up?
