I shot the photo below to test my 50mm F1.8 lens

Shutter: 1/25
Aperture: 1.8
ISO: 100

Filter: Hoya UV-Guard (mono coated)

I saw that there are some reflection at the bottom right corner of the photo. Is this caused by flaring or something else? Please advise.

I was trying to test the flaring of the lens and filter thus i put the room lights at the upper corner. They are 4 energy saving warm light bulbs.

Thanks

You could be looking at ghosting due to reflection triggered by the filter used. Try the same shot without use of filter. :)

if it is the filter, will other filter helps?

for some lenses, even the most expensive filter being used, it MAY still have ghosting if you shoot towards the light source.

just remove filter and shoot, that's a simple solution.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. Will try without the filter.

buy B+W UV MRC filter:devil:
