Sony 707? Well I've been using it...used to have 505, brother's one then. Well I don't agree Sony do not have the best imaging. Check out the photos pple took with 707. More like skills.. Anyway 707 can last on full charge with the taking time of 2hr 40mins!!! abt there.........

Dimage 7 uses CF (Compact Flash> Max 1GB) is much cheaper and avaliable in higher capacity over MS (Memory Stick>Max 256MB)

It uses 4 AA batteries (alkaline or Ni-MH batteries). Pro and Cons.

Pro> cheaper and easily avaliable.
Cons> Might not be longer lasting than those LITHIUM batteries.

Just my 2 cents ;p

i agree that MS is expensive, but compare with the $$ that u throw in for the camera body, it is not much actually.

Sony F707 battery life surly beats many DC out there, the only thing that i hate is expensive MS and remote control (for ext flash can get OEM one)

256MB still not out yet...Sony must be waiting for the gap of production cost and demand to get wider before launching

anyway, 256MB is a sweet spot for 5MP pic...now most of the time i only use 3MP cos space no enough

the remote......i forgot the price already.....should be ard $70? correct me if i am wrong

Yah ...u're right I do not take pics at 5MP cuz of space too. Remote .......maybe will buy ah. What other accessories u have? Recommand?

what accessories u have already?

i have a B+W UV, a manfrotto tripod, Gitzo ball head, Sony lens hood and also a Digi-flash which is still under developement

next on my shopping list is HOYA Polariser (cannot afford B+W) and probably a closeup lens/filter

Just a Hoya filter!! Tripod broke..wanna get one later. Is ur tripod good? How much?

stable but heavy

new one is abt $150 (depends which model u got) for manfrotto 190 series

ball head can get 308RC which is abt $60-70

if it is out of your budget, can get those Slik tripod...cheap and light...but of cos not as stable as manfrotto lar...
