A very good test on which memory cards perform best on the 5Dmk3. I believe it should be similar to most cameras…i chose 5D3 because it has both card types..
Looks like the Lexar 1000x is the fastest but it's very expensive…like Sandisk Pro…
I wonder if the Transcend 600x is cheap in Singapore..i was thinking of getting one as a standby in the event i need a fast card because i have quite a few Extreme Pro SDHC…just don't own any CF and looking at the tests, the SDHC are no where near the cheapest CF cards..just that SD card readers are built into Macbooks, not CF
I'm very surprised that the SDHCs are performing so badly. I use a Lexar 32GB 400x CF and Lexar 32GB 600x SDHC together in my 5D3. I think for RAW files, the bottleneck is still the buffer when you shoot continuous. JPEGs should be fine.
I'll be getting the 600x. I've got a few Transcend Class10 SD cards..they work fine…
Anyways, i'm getting it only as a spare..All my transcends are spares..i still trust Sandisk more..
I don't own any CF cards and since i sometimes might want to shoot in LRAW, it's good to have a CF card as standby in the camera
