haha! My XP bro!
So you did buy the 35-100/2.8. How much did you pay? (can PM if not convenient to reveal)

I'm thinking of getting the 12-35 and 35-100 on my next trip to Japan. Now saving up like crazy! ;)

No issue sharing. I bought it thru a colleague in Japan at around 1300SGD a few weeks back. Another colleague brought it back for me.

Actually Map Camera just lowered their price to ¥91800 with tax. If you are travelling, just show passport to get tax free price (less 5%) and with the current yen rate at 1.37. You could get the 35-100 for just under $1200.

Map camera online is only for jap residents.

Many of you guys are using Panasonic lens on Oly body such as EM5, is CA a problem? Should I be concern with CA?

As for me, CA is still unnoticeable when I use 12-35mm and 35-100mm on my omd(em5). No issues or problems so far.... :)

I think he means the physical store, since he mentioned show passport.
Anyway, Map Camera also sells on Rakuten, could get it from there and ship to Tenso. (I think, haven't tried)

How about panny 25mn f1.4? Heard that it will hav a rattling sound when paired with OMD.

Yes true. But not too often. The only way is to ignore the rattling sound(not too loud, just soft one) and enjoy snapping with that good Panny 25mm F1.4.

I use panny lenses nearly 100% of the time. They are the 14 2.5, 12-35, 45 2.8, 20. Wat CA?

I'm now in Switzerland with only 2 lenses. The 14 and the 12-35. Only thing is, I hv been using only the 14. Even night shots.

No issue with using panny on Oly so far at all. And the 12-35, 35-100 is ahem ... Superb

Looks like the 14 is a good travelling option. I may bring that as my only lens for my next trip.

Really? That is good news. I would like to try EM5 with Panny 12-35 for light weight, weather proof option.

I just sold off my GX1 with PZ14-42 as I do not really like the low light capability so I thought F2.8 might help. Also, EM5 suppose to have a better sensor.

I thought of buying Canon DSLR but overall setup seems to be very heavy.

You would not be disappointed with EM5 and 12-35mm F2.8 as the performance of both are quite good. But to each his/her own, my opinion may be different from yours. You ought to try Omd Em5 1st before deciding to buy one.
Hope this helps... =^D

For a light weight setup... wont go wrong with OMD + 12-35.... good combo.....

Second that. Or you can go EPL5 with 12-35. That's my walkabout kit. Very small lightweight same IQ as EM5. Only no EVF and normal 3 axis IBIS not 5 axis.

Second that , for me it's now really just 12-35 , 17/1.8 when I bring the camera out. If need longer reach , I use the Oly 14-150

Any thoughts on the pancake lens 17mm 2.8? Is it good for everyday lens? Is there a big difference in sharpness and iq vs the 20mm 1.7?
