Great shots. What camera and lens did you use?

Bench with a view! I like this one. :bsmilie:

wah, remind me of my trip a decade ago, time flies, film days. I was only using a sigma compact zoom.....great compact though (auto exposure with focus lock).....shot 9 rolls x36 exp....only knew about focus lock & then composed....
btw, can show more pics, more story telling, maybe u didn't want to reveal any faces? or did u shoot any nepalese faces? like to see how much they have changed in the past 10 years.:)

Thanks.. I actually just sat there alone for awhile to "take in" the view. There was no one there.. absolute silence.. so peaceful...

Hmm.. maybe a decade later, I'll see someone post Nepal photos and I'll say , "wah remind me of my trip a decade ago, time flies, dslr days... I was only using a canon 400D... " keke

Eh.. me not much of a story teller... but nepalese faces I did shoot... mainly kids though...

so here goes...

27) I was so in love with this kid.. he's so cute.. kept smiling and posing while chewing the string from his hood...

28) This rubber band like 'thingy' is the common play thing among Nepalese kids. They call it "Chungee" eh.. not so sure abt the spelling. They play it like volleyball or chapteh. We spent about 20 mins playing with them.. this boy here was my opponent.. he beat me hands down..

29) My "opponent"

30) I really like this little girl's gaze.. she kept following me asking for sweets or pencils.. even though she's not that poor.. It seems that begging for such items has become the habit... Was told by a Nepalese that tourists giving them sweets are not helping the situation... but in the end I still gave her a pen..
As for the editing.. not sure if it works.. just tried it for fun..

31) 3 year old Nisha from the village - She's simply adorable.. kept kissing my cheeks.. very affectionate.. very pretty...

33) For a 3 yr old, she has a really mature look..

34) Hehe... for fun..

35) Owners of a lodge that I stopped over... very friendly.... keeping in contact with them via email... apparently, he has to walk abt 2hrs to another town for internet connection.. haiz.. and we complain so much about our "slow internet speed"

Simply Beautiful.

your pics have become so good that i start to learn certain things from your composition. anyway, for your extreme close-up, would like to ask if they are shot at close range, and what setup, or is it being cropped in for a tight facial impact?

that is roughly how i shot too. less than 1m away. 50cm is a bit too close for me, and my lens dun have that luxury as my minimal focusing distance is more than 50cm.

what lens is used for those less than 50cm?

later, i will show my indian trip photos, some is a bit similar to yours.

beautiful shots.... 9,10,19 are my fav...
thanks for sharing...

cheers....

Back to landscape shots.. the BLUE series...

These are some of the most beautiful sights I've seen along my journey to Poon Hill. Enjoy!
