Great thread! Love the surreal/ethereal feel of the photos!!:thumbsup:

Thanks!

I got bored of processing photos the postcard way (not that there was much to start with, but still it was a factor...), so I decided to head into another direction since the mind reconstructs memories as we retrieve them. Hence nowadays, I process according to what my mind sees... not what my eyes see :bsmilie:

I feel that, that is back to the basic of photography - communication. And processing according what I see inside of me, instead of what my eyes see, is the better communication since the viewer can better understand the personality that I am. I understand that this would mean that the photo does not represent reality accurately, but I'm sure one can find accurate photos of the scene by a simple google.

Sometimes I don't even want to put a caption (even if I have time), because I'm reminded of the judging criteria in ILPOTY (International Landscape Photographer of the Year) competition. Captions are not allowed, you are supposed to let your photos do the talking

Ah well, this reply turns out to be longer than expected... :bsmilie:

Memory Shipwreck

In my state of limbo, I discovered a dormant memory; a wreckage too shameful to reveal, and long abandoned.

Gone with the Wind

I never wanted to post this photo (that's me btw). But I felt this photo best represents the feelings that I have at the moment.

I just heard the news from my friend today that this place is a goner soon, and from UncleFai's post as well. Construction works had begun and the insane amount of wildlife there are beginning to leave. Why must Singapore always take away all the good places, places were there is a little resemblance of free wildlife? This place where I stood, is the only place in Singapore where I cannot see the other end of the rolling fields. It's just all grass, clouds and sky, converging into one.

Words just can't express how disappointed and sad I am at the moment...

Hi! Sorry for the slow reply, I don't usually monitor my thread unless I'm gonna upload something haha.

I'll PM you the place, but there's no point in going there now; it's been sealed off already. The birders went last saturday for a final farewell shoot of the birds :(

I'm PMing you the place because I don't want another influx of people disturbing the other side of the wildlife, which I'm hoping it wont be affected that much :(

This shot was from there as well. I don't think that composition is available anymore.

I'm missing this place already :( Damn piss with them going to develop this area (of all places!!!), that might influence my vote for the next GE... :thumbsd:

Isla Sorna

I remember it started off with a beach, forest, a semi dark sky... and lots of screaming. Or at least, that's how I remember Jurassic Park III started in my memory :bsmilie:
