Mythmaker's Landscape Learning Journey...

The Treasure Behind

I am utterly convinced that this shot was completed by the grace of God. 1 hour into shooting this, my fiancée and I were hit by a 4.6 earthquake (depth: 8.6km). Amazingly, the tripod didn't even move a millimeter... nor did it move throughout the entire night (I went to sleep right after the earthquake) even though it was exposed on the top of the mountain with strong winds.

Not the usual landscape pictures that we see but extremely aesthetically pleasing. I really like your pictures. Thanks for sharing :)

Resignment

This will always be a controversial photo to me. I submitted this photo to CRC's APAW (the only time I ever entered anything resembling close to a contest actually) and the judge at that time was a guy called Chen Wei Li. Since he's pretty much focus on intent of the photo, I wrote this (which is my actual thoughts when I was shooting this) along with the submission:

Unfortunately, he feels it's way too dramatised and melancholy :( He also suggested that I should instead give it a square crop and make it B&W to something like this:

Not sure if I agree with him...

Actually when I post the images here it's usually not the final edit. It's just the first draft :bsmilie:

That's why they are hosted on dropbox; so I can edit them and overwrite it easily when comments and critiques comes in. Hence if you have any C&C on the images, feel free to let me know so I may work it into my next edit ;)

As for the lack of title and caption, I'll try to write them when I'm free haha.

One of my earliest shots. I might actually be able to save the building if my photoshop saving skills improve sometime in the future lol. Waiting for the day... waiting...

Blight

I happened to be at Keppel island again on Sunday, attending a photography outing hosted by SIM Photography Club. So I thought I'll just do a quick snapshot of the similar composition I did years ago, seeing what had changed. In fact, it was so quick that I didn't realise I was shooting at ISO 12800 :bsmilie:
