The Nissan Murano set new standards for style and sportiness in the expanding mid-size crossover sport-utility vehicle marketplace. No matter how sophisticated and well armored a tank or vehicle may be, it will only perform as well as the crew controlling it. This is perhaps better illustrated if one thinks of the crew as an integral, indispensable component of the overall machine. The StuG or "Assault Gun" as this model is called has a crew of four men: a driver, a gunner, a gun-loader and a commander, all working as a team in their special positions within the tank.

The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun was Germany's most produced armored fighting vehicle during World War II. It was built on the chassis of the proven Panzer III tank, replacing the turret with a fixed superstructure.











Because of its low profile (the vehicle's height being only 2.16m - just slightly higher than a person standing), crew access was through the roof’s hatches. Three were posted directly above the gunner (left), loader (right) and commander’s (left) seats. In addition, if the tank toppled over or if the hatch was obstructed, the driver could still escape through the steering brake inspection hatch in the glacis plate (located just to the front of the driver's position).

The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun was initially intended as a mobile, armoured light gun for direct-fire support for the infantry i.e. to engage enemy fortifications in the battlefield with the infantry in close support.











As such the StuG III has no secondary machine-gun - the armored vehicle relies solely on the accompanying infantry for close quarter defense.
