latest test shot. paper seems to be just a bit tilted. but this is my best try. I quite happy to see focus is in line with words. clear my doubt. this is sharp copy.

Hereby, i close this thread. Thz bros for all suggestions.

Looks sharp but not RAZOR SHAP ... ..keke

Don't be so mean =D

:bsmilie: i'm not trying to be offensive, i just think that excessive complaining isn't going to help, what would help is if he posted the pictures he took with the lens. that way we'll be able to tell him whether it could be handshake etc instead of focusing issues.

I had this lens for a little while. Sure, it has f2.8, but do you always need to shoot at 2.8?
I suggest to go out and shoot shoot shoot. Use f5.6 or above and you'll find your shots will be tack sharp.
Also, when you upgrade your DSLR to higher megapixels later on, don't go return it when you find your pics to be less sharp when zoomed in.
There is nothing wrong with the equipment. You just need to get used to it.

Have fun with your lens.

hey brother, just thinking,
could it be how your look thru the view finder?
some ppl look thru it with diff angle.
dont know if u agree with what i say.
anyway, get 2 of your frens to try out the test for u
then u will know if your lens is sharp.

just sharing my tots.
if u think its nonsense, ignore me.

ok just tested out few shots in a frd's bd party. b4 that, i tweaked camera setting and sharpness. Now i find that photos are very sharp and amazing bokeh. Now i know more about DOF also. Thz all bro for helpful explanations.

And those of u who thinking to buy this tamron lens....I would say..."Go for it".
Just make sure u test with test chart when back home. ;p

Hereby, I officially close this thread. Happy Christmas ahead !!
