I need some tips pn photography of ice and snow. most of my photos are very blue, can anyone advise me?
Thanks
Looking at the colour of the clouds, it does appear that the glaciers are blue.
Foe those that are too blue, it is due to the white balance(WB). You can get a white balance filter and set custom white balance during shooting, or shoot in raw and adjust during post processing.

#9 Argentina, Patagonia - "A piece of ME"
Initially, I was not too excited about going to such a touristy National park , the Perito Moreno National park. I shared a car with 2 Israelis girls and made our way there in the darkness of the early morming. The early start was to ensure we get into the National park way before the counter starts work at 7am and thus saving on the entrance fee ( the life of a backpacker!)
The scene took my breath away. The thunderous roar of a small piece of the glacier breaking off rocks my senses. It feels surreal and its one of those sights which I ill never forget in my life.
Hey everyone,
Just got back from Mount Rinjani. Will continue wth my photos soon.

Welcome back pupuce!
You're right. The glaciers that I have seen are something which I'll never forget. Especially the sight and sound of the ice calving...![]()
all i can say is " OMG... Rinjani is a killer!"
I wish I didnt bring my DSLR as I can do with lesser weight on me
You probably would not be able to sleep for a long time because those images are only in your head....and nobody can see them. haha.

Wow, read this thread last year and didn't know it's "sticky"ed and has reached 28 pages! all i can say is RESPECT!
My roommate and i are planning a road trip across Java and all the way to Lombok at this end of the year.. all with a self-limited budget of $500 per person.. after that, we are planning to go across SEA all the way to Hanoi via land the following year.. hopefully all will go according to plan..
I respect you a lot, Sis!
