Hi all, sorry bt to ask a dumb qns... i can't seem to c the battery life indicator from the LCD of my canon S5, do u guys noe where is it? :what:

its only available if you use the chdk hack. theres no batt indicator for default systems

I have been using the eneloop batteries all along. No problem. Everytime you take out the camera after a few weeks or months, the battery is still charged. For normal rechargeables, you always have to recharge again.

Did the manual actually recommend min 2300 mAh? I don't recall seeing it.

Yeah, thats the prob with the normal rechargeable types...a bit of a hassle. Neway, its was on page 189 of the Advance Camera User Guide

I've been using them for a very long time already for both my S5 IS and 580EX II. No probs at all whatsoever.

thks bro!

Save $$, get the 5D Mk II!

that would take me 15 years. thank you. hehe. unless you feel generous now hehe.
well, for a lousy photographer like me, 5D MkII will make me look silly

hi guys, i am new in photography, recently thought of adding a few accessories to my S5IS, i have been reading the forum and come out with the following:

1) Canon/Lensmate/Raynox Adapter
2) UV Filter/Polarize Filter
3) Wide lens (not for the time being)

As i am currently a student, i hope to slowly upgrade the camera, as far as i know, i need an adapter b4 i can add on anything to my S5IS. After comparing the prices of the adapter, i thought of getting the lensmate 58mm adapter, is it advisible? and also, do i need to get a UV or Polarize filter? Hopefully i can get a few comments, thanks~

I doubt you can find a new S5 in the shops anymore as this model is being phased out. However, you can get a second hand set at attractive prices of S$500 downwards. Check out the Classifieds section.
