I believe any of the harvey norman/courts type of stores allow you to pay via installments. Search CHDK on google. It's a software enhancement for your canon camera.
flash filters and nothing much else for s5
U might want to try out shops like Cathay Photo, Alan Photo or John 3:16.
Ahh..instalment by credit card then no choice already.

I'm new to all these stuff...
I've posted in the general section that I intend to get a camera by this week for my bali trip next wed.
and after reading the forums and reviews, S5 is in my short list (getting longer by the day haha).
But I'm reading mixed reviews abt the S5

I've read that some of you posted you are newbies and yet U guys bought the S5?
Can I know why S5 and not other cameras?
My other cameras on short list are Fuji F100fd, S8100fd and Nikon 80.
I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna pick up on this hobby and I might just use the camera for holidays and special occasions.
lastly, any1 knows the best price for the S5 now?

I have my S5IS for about a year, I would say its a pretty amazing camera.
First, it start up pretty quickly, the camera will be ready for action within a second you switch it on.
In good light, the focusing speed is pretty fast, shutter lag is pretty short, zooming is quite fast. Overall, it is a pretty quick camera in terms of operation.
The image quality of the shots it produced is quite impressive, in the P&S league, with its impressive image stabilizer function, most shots will turn out sharp without obvious blur due to camera shake.
The video function of this cam is very good, it even allow you to zoom optically all the way to full zoom (12X), which you could rarely find it in other camera, and the quality of the video is pretty good. You may need to get a 8G Sd card if you plan to take lots of video though.
If you like to take macro shots, this camera is very capable of, and it allows you to fix add-on lens and filters to it for extended capability.
Overall, I think this camera is quite a ideal choice for holiday,not too sure about the price though, but should be around S$600 I guess.

He's definitely trying to be humble. You want to see samples of his shots? I tell you what... I PM you some of the shots that he has posted online taken with the S5, you will NOT HESITATE A MINUTE more in getting the camera. Trust me.Hi Raymondb....

am I right to say if I were to get the S5IS, it would be good to get an adaptor, filter and wide angle lens?
