As what CS said, it all depends on the charger you use. It also depends on the capacity of the batteries ie. 1300mAh or up to 2700mAh. You can get anything from 15 mins to one whole day.

In practice, as long as the charging time is not too long, it does not make a difference. More important is that you should have at least two sets of batteries. When you run out of power for your batteries outside, do you run back to your place to charge your batteries even if it takes only 15 mins? I always have one set in my camera and two extra sets. When set 1 runs out, I use set 2 and set 3 is the reserve. At night, I put set 1 to the charger and go to sleep. Next day, my camera is using set 2, with sets 3 and 1 as reserve.

not too sure whether to convert because unsure whether is good or not..
but i do like wide lense and zooming.
will it compromise the zooming?

S5 IS now should be around $500+. Coverter?? U mean the adapter or the conversion lens? The adapter with hood set is around $48 while the wide converter is $180. The tele one i don't know cos i don't need it. These prices are all Canon original.

When using the conversion lens and then zoom to the tele end, purple fringing is quite visible.

btw, its from TK foto. Ms was relectant to give any other freebies and i din like the promoter. rude and impatient. the fellas in TK booth seems much kinder and patient so i got from them

At the budget, u may want to try those from Sunpak, they're quite gd.

All Canon EX flashes support ETTL/II depending on the camera body. Those Sigma 500/530 DG Super also supports it.

$699 is the full price. Other places are cheaper.

Flash wise i'd go for either the 430EX or 580EX series. But since u're on a budget, u might want to try 3rd party such as Sunpak and Sigma.

Oh any lens I need to buy and their brand ? I know I need to polarizer to protect the camera lens ..anything I can buy for basic use for travelling . Eg like macro and scenery shots ?

hi all, yea , i have been playing with the camera and buying acc non stop. this month eat bread and butter liao. that day snoweagle advised me to see sunpak flash.. i went to alan photo, ben showed me a similiar flash thats made in singapore. the brand is emoblitz. guide number is 28 with autofocus and zoom. 3 yr warranty , best part - $110 only. sunpak 42x cost 250bucks... no $$.. got an original set of adaptor and hood + canon wide lens from another forumer. now my camera weighs 1.15kg. + a big hole in my pocket.

still, i'm looking for a bag =p

i just realised sth. with the LAH-DC20 adaptor + a hoya UV filter, the hood cannot be attached. but the adaptor + hoya uv + WC58A OK, no vignetting. adaptor + uv + hoya close up +1, +2, +3 = vignetting. however, the effect is good!

Are there now Made in China S5s? I have never seen one that is Made in China. I guess eventually, everything will be made in china.
