In fact many places are gd for taking pics. It depends on how to take them, some shots can be very interesting.
there's a lot of architectural subjects to start with......

i would love to go for an outing too! if you guys don't mind a total noob tagging along!!

I am using the S5IS for months now and deciding to purchase external lenses. Can anyone share with me which model of the lenses (telephoto and wide angle) fit our camera? Also what brand of adpater do you guys recommend?
As i do not log in here frequently, i hope you can drop me an email at kelvin_leong75@hotmail.com. Tks so much

Mine's all original, including adapter and wide-conversion lens.

I have a Raynox set for my S2 IS (which is the same lens as the S5 IS).
DCR-1540PRO 1.54X
DCR-6600PRO 0.66X

Both are with the 52mm Raynox adapters. Also have a 58mm lensmate adapter with a UV filter. I use this when I want to use a polariser or my IR filter.

I have a friend who is selling his Canon WC-DC58A wide converter with the Canon adapter and hood. PM me if you are interested.

Hi all S5 Bros & Sis,

I've just upgraded from S3 to S5, just because of the hot shoe. I'm planning to get Canon's flash Speedlite 430EX. However, I read some review on using this flash with S5, regarding somes problems on synchronizing.

Any of you has the same experience? Are there other brands flash to recommend?

Sanyo Eneloops as they last very long and can hold charge up to 80% for a year. Bring the charger of cos and get at least 2 sets if u're planning to use heavily.

Hi Coolsigg,

Tks for the info. Any idea where I can get it cheapest?

I bought 430 EX grey from OP. $420 nett. Cash price. Most shops selling local sets at $450-460 range.

If u wan absolute cheapest, get from B&S section. Saw a few going for under $400.

I totally agree. I've spent a lot of $ trying different brands. Eneloop is the only one that I'm very happy with so far. I got it from Eastgear @ $10 for 2, the cheapest I know so far. Anyone know any place selling cheaper than this?

I just bought Powerex (Imedion) from Eastgear too ($20 fror 4), suppose to be able to hold charge for a year. Will try out and let you all know if it's good.
