The Only Moment We Were Alone

Stacks of bricks and concrete walls of buildings, hoarding boards and cargo containers,
all came together under a warm summer night. Captured with my Apple iPhone 6 Plus

The setting sun is down and warm glowing light beautifully lit up in one of the old church rooms.

It's been a year since I last made some nocturne photographs. Here's one I did last night.

Some information on the photograph made:
This light-painting photograph was made with my Nikon D70s on Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8 lens, set at the smallest aperture @ f/22 on 'B' mode, for long exposure timing of about 3mins 30secs. Five colored filter gels are used - Blue, Yellow, Green, Lavender and Violet. WB is set to Incandescent (or Tungsten). Photograph is made on digital RAW.

The star burst effect on the extreme right frame is caused by the road side lamp, with which closing down to the smallest aperture will have this result. The 2 stripes of light trails are caused by the MRT trains coming and going from the MRT station nearby, on the top and passing by vehicles, on the bottom.

Very nice! I thought initially that you were using a larger flashlight... very impressive!

Thanks haring!

I have since changed my lighting tools to smaller LED flashlights which are compact and easy to carry around.

These high Lumens flashlights are so powerful it can throw light at a far distance and most importantly they serve as good tools for my night photography.

$NQN eBook Mockup-01_CS.jpg

Hey night dwellers! Tonight I'm proud to present you
my very first digital photo eBook, NOT QUITE NIGHT.
Click on the above image to view the photo eBook.

It's not the kind of book you see on most book stores,
rather it's a simplified 40 pages eBook in which it
contains only 28 NQN photos I made since I started out
last mid-August till end of 2016. I hope you enjoy my
photo eBook as much as I love making them. Thank you!

This is a short video presentation I produced prior to the release of the photo eBook.
