Got myself a K3 on Thursday afternoon from Click @ funan. $14xx, came with free 8gb SD card and free pentax soft case.
I gave up my Pentax dslr gear to help fund my wife's Canon system as she is the pro in the house, so its nice to have A Pentax dslr again, the last one I had was a k7, and the k3 massive advancement.
The awesome high ISO has given new life to my old slower lenses. I took this one with my old M 80-200mm f4.5. @ ISO 1600.

Just to share that my K3 is now with APDS.
Bought the K3 to shoot the air show at Changi.
I'm using a battery grip.
Body battery left 1 bar, but grip battery was full.
Half way through the shoot, shutter action became sluggish.
Eventually the camera just freeze up.
Need to remove battery grip and remove main body battery before it can recover.
Replace both batteries with fully charge ones.
Thought it's just a one off thingy and resume shooting.
Less than 10 shots later, shutter became unresponsive again.
Suddenly the shutter came alive and repaid fire by itself.
Again, need to remove body battery to recover.
After the above 2 incidents, no more recurrence.
Anyway, just send in to APDS and see what they'll do.

Have you updated the firmware to the latest one? I read some guys having problem w/ the battery grip on K3. You should try it w/o the grip and see if the same problem happens. Anyway, hope it's just firmware issue.
Just to update on my runaway shutter and freeze issue.
APDS called me and said they can't replicate the issue.
He did mention that firmware 1.02 is "no good" and there's some issue with using battery grip.
I'll collect back the body tomorrow and hopefully a 1.03 will resolve this issue.
Seems like US users has also face similar issue.
tks for sharing. its good information for folks who have the grip.
It happened again this morning.
Just finish shooting some runners in the 2XU Compression Run.
Out of the blue, LCD screen went blank and won't come on until on/off.
Even so, it'll go blank again after pressing the shutter.
Eventually, it just simply stop responding.
Need take out body battery to resolve.

I experienced such "freezing" with my Kr back then and had to remedy it via the same way.
I know that it is not similar in hardware but I have a feeling it is due to heat or being exposed to high temperature.
I mean, it's electronics and electronics usually display some kind of issues when they're overheated.. Just hypothesizing. Haha!
Were you shooting under the sun and inadvertantly "overheated" it?
PS: Yes, I was shooting macro with my Kr then..
