Used Layer Masking.
Duplicate Layer, Mask out all the trees and foliage (that are yellow).
Invert the mask so that you will be working on the yellow leaves.
Hue/Saturation, Desaturate the "Yellow" channel and adjust the lightness to get the trees white. You may have to do this more than once. Check also the "Red" channel as the leaves may contain some Red. Desaturate also if present.

I re-inverted the mask again to work on the sky and clouds. Added a slight "S" curve for contrast and depth. Finally merged the layers.

Instead of masking out the trees and foliage at the beginning you may also mask out the rest of the picture to leave only the yellow. Then you won't have to invert to work on the trees. But this is a larger area to mask. So I took the lazy way to mask the smaller area.

anyways, i do find most of these pictures here a wee bit lacking in the composition department, but maybe it's just me.

Yes, that works too. But I found that w/o masking, desat the yellow and red affected the colors of the Esplanade roof and the sky.

Anyway, it depends on what is wanted out of the pp.
