My close-up/macro shots

Hi bro, really admire your shots. however, can the extension tube be use on let say D90 with zoom lens? btw wat camera are u using it on? thanks!

I am using Olympus E520. I think there is extension tube for nikon D90. It is just a hollow metal tube attached to the camera body. But the problem is you need to manually control the aperture and focus of your lens. So I am not sure if your zoom lens can be used.

Basically, my set up is as follow: E520+extension tube+OM to 4/3 adapter+Zuiko OM 50mm f1.8.

I believe there is extension tube which allows you to control the lens digitally but cost quite a bit. Hope that this helps.

Wow.. I like the shot of the compound eyes. =)

How did you do that?

I put the lens slowly towards it and use live view to focus by moving back and forward. The dragon fly was a bit blind I think, haha.

For a long time I didn't have the chance to shoot macro again. Took a walk along Lakeside to Chinese garden last week, and got some shots that I'd like to share. Similar set up as other shots: E520 + cheap macro extension tube + Zuiko OM manual lens, hand held with flash.

And sorry about pic #3 and #8, I think I deleted them accidentally on my flickr.

Thank you all for your encouragement.

Sharing another few shots I took last week at Chinese garden. These were taken with an OM Vivitar 135mm f2.8 close-focus manual lens and E520. Hand held and no flash, because I forgot to bring my batteries.
