Why just the 350D?
If want to play big, go all the way. Ask for a 1DsMkII as replacement.
I'd ask for Canon's market share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big enuf or not???!!!:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

tom,

nice move. i mean at least if there is really a problem, GP can take action now and prevent more users from damaging their cameras with the battery. i'm using Sanyo 2500 and my camera is working fine.

Do keep us update as your case is unique. :)

I'd appreciate those has problem with their GP battery especially the GP2700 to feedback. So that I can consolidate your feedbacks and prove it to GP. And we can further ask for a refund. Meanwhile, put your GP2700 aside for playing safe.

OMG, cannon gave GP2100 rechargable batt kit as the free gift... A bit waste not to use it.
How about Energizer rechargable batts ? Any probs wif using that brand ?????

relax dude. the 2100, 2300, 2500 have been long in the market and so far no major problems except for Sanyo's 2500 "Made In Japan" batch as they lose charge over a short period of time.

Tom's case highlights the GP 2700 now.

I am using them and love it. Can last 2 months for on/off use with the S2. Tried the SANYOs and only last 2 weeks. THe other brand I am using is called CAMELION also lasts 2 months. If you take contunuous shots the Energizers can last the whole 1 gb card and more. ;)

I have 3 sets of the Energizers (2500) and one set of the Camelion (2600)

Thank you !!! Glad to hear all my rechargable batts are still useable on my S3 ;)

Not yet. Mostly these 2 day will get my cam back

Update! Update!
Finally got my cam back this afternoon. I've been told that the fault is lie with the cam itself, but no further information was provided. Also, he said that my GP2700 is working fine. Luckly don't need to spend more on the battery.

lol! ok. have a fun time shooting with your new camera! :)

so was it a new baby replacement? or organ transplant?

Yes, a new born baby.;) Although this is an unhappy incident, I'm quite satisfy with Canon's service. Polite and efficient.
