My 1st Octopus PICs!!

Finally, able to capture these shy creatures with my camera..
heres the graceful little thing that i took during my nite dive at chebeh..
using a A70 with D180.

Nice series of octopus in changing to different colours. I suppose it is the same animal, or are you that lucky to see 3.

I find the photos generally underexpose. Or it could be my monitor as it have been giving me some problem recently.

ya.. its the same octopus.. each having strobe light hitting at different angles.. directly or indirectly.. ;p

hmm maybe its my laptop LCD.. a bit too bright? how abt the rest..?? is it too dark on yr machine?

dunno if it's me...1st picture seems to have a lot of shadow cast on the subject itself and around....seems a bit dark to me...picture's a bit soft too...try USM in PS...might help...adjust some level to bring out the shadow as well...

hee.. ya.. ;p paiseh... while shootin it.. my pri torch went flat... so.. kinda using only strobe focus light to see.. so cant really make out the sharpness..
hee.. oso duno how to play with A70 manual.. a bit different.. ;p

hmm but thght the eyes area still a bit in focus? hmm too bad.. maybe got to try harder next time.. ;p

by the way.. the so called sea whip look alike thing is a staghorn coral.. hell lotsa it.. kinda hard to squeeze in the camera for the shot oso.. ;p

hmm.. really seems dark when i view the pics at beivied home pc..
hmm.. can adjust the brightness for laptop?

since alot of ppl says that it is OoF i wouldn't rub it in.... COoFf COoFf ... ahem...rather smoky in here....

usually i would just removal all the staghorns... hahhah.. kidding...

Nice close up on the eyes! like that 2 "horns" sticking out but is it me ar.. seems a bit grainy and OOF or oversharpen..?? hmm haha.. this octopus very vulgar ar?!?! hence got that name? HEHEHEHE...

hmm.. how does this oct looks like ? got a full body shot? dun dare to get too close to them coz very very shy leh..
