Week 18: タイムベント

タイムベント (Time Vent)

- 時間の逆行。 (Going back in time.)

Week 19: 窓
Window.

Just 2 more weeks to the holidays.

Week 20: Cornered
That's how the past week felt like, cornered and left with no choice, except to struggle through. One more week to holidays!

Week 21: Magic

We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep

- William Shakespeare, The Tempest

Taken during TJC Drama Club's production, "Paper Boats: A Double Bill" on 23rd May 2009

Nice thread, keep shooting :) Like your philosophical approach to APAD. 10 years down the road, you may find that being in JC2 actually aint so bad :bsmilie:

Thank you. Most of the photos here are summation of the thoughts that I had in my mind for the week.

Week 22: The Final

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts

- William Shakespeare, As You Like It

As the spotlight on the dancer slowly dims and fades away, it is time to leave the stage. My part has ended, now others will take centre stage.

Week 23: Bliss
Originally, I wanted to have a more 'sad' or emo-ish picture for this week, something to mark the end of my journey in Infocomm. I even had a title and a concept all planned out, but alas things were not meant to be (don't ask me why, I'll blow my top).

Loads of happy stuff occurred this week, and Infocomm Camp rocked. It's sad to step down, but at least my last day at camp came as quite a surprise.

At 12 midnight on 12th June (that's my birthday for those who don't know), the Photog/AV exco wished me Happy Birthday, alongside with the Mr Lau-s, and some smses from church members. I saw that coming, but at 1.30am when I went to AV Room for post-hustings discussion, there was a cake! Really didn't see that coming.

To the outgoing Photog exco, I guess we all had fun in our term. It was both fun and tiring to work with you guys (or should I say girls ><). We had our happy times, and loads of emo times for me. To the outgoing AV exco, it was fun knowing and working with you guys even for the short 6 months. Lastly to the incoming Infocomm exco, all the best in your term. The most important thing, HAVE FUN.

*Note: This is more of a personal recount after one year in Photographic Society/Infocomm in TJC.

Week 24: Presents

Another 'happy' photo.

Week 25: Imagine Life Without Colour
Exam week is drawing near. These have been adding colour to my life of mere words and lines.

Of course, I must not forget friends who studied with me! =)

Week 26: Letters and Confusion
The past week was crazy. Daily 3 hour writing marathons is no small thing. Man I can't wait for the stupid exams to end.

Lately, only words and letters are filling my brain. Stupid exams.

Week 27: Back to (Old) School
Well, school proper has started again. I can't believe my happiness is so short lived. Sighs. But I had my bit of fun on Monday at Vivo City with friends watching Transformers and walking around. We walked into Toys'R'Us and there was this huge bunch of Gashapon machines, and they had these guys! So I spent quite a bit on these guys, and my friends were like going 'MATT! STOP!' Shows the lengths I go to for my hobby.

The reason for the "(Old)" is because this year is Heisei Kamen Rider 10th Anniversary. But the cool part? The Kamen Rider Decade movie this year will bring back the Kamen Riders from the Showa era (those guys in the picture)! YAY! Time for one epic movie!

Week 28: Cause New Tech Rocks

I got myself a Zen X-Fi and a new handphone. When would my camera get new tech?

Week 29: The Ace Within

"切り札はキミの中…"
- Aikawa Nanase, Round Zero~BLADE BRAVE

"The trump is within you..."
- Aikawa Nanase, Round Zero~BLADE BRAVE

Week 30: On Medication
Doctor's Report: "Nerve conduction studies of the right upper limb revealed slowing of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. There was no conduction block."

The good news? My arm's still working fine, other than the fact that it hurts.

The bad news? The doctor said my nerve would weaken in time, and so my arm will get weaker/hurt more over time.

Week 31: DANGER!
An event in this week taught me not to take my friends' concern forgranted. Doing so would only put myself in a very dangerous position.

Also, women are difficult to understand. ><

Week 32: 天使再臨
The Angels' Second Advent.

My brain is completely fried by school lately. I want to go back to my carefree days... I want my brain to have its photographic-edge back...

Week 33: The Number Game
26 days to Prelims, 80 days to A Levels.

僕達のprecious memories

- Friends, Stephanie

Farewells and meetings;
We see the light as we walk down new roads;
Since the day we were born,
It has repeatedly connected us.

Before we each knew it,
We both had our own futures.

I Gotta Say
Even if we are far apart
There is this strong bond between us;
"Let our dreams come through,"
I pray from the bottom of my heart;
We're friends forever
Let's promise to meet again some day
With our crossing of little fingers;
We're walking forward
Towards unseen destinations,
Even if we are lost
We'll continue forward
No matter what.

Amidst the changing seasons,
Amidst the flow of time,
I embrace these melodies;
Even when we grow older,
Some things will never fade,
Like our precious memories.

- Friends, Stephanie

Saying goodbye is never easy. It's really hard to express what I feel within me upon saying goodbye to a close friend.
