Florence clarifies only with muvouser right? Did she know that muvouser would forward her words to TS and subsequent on the forum? If she did not know, then it is not fair. Give her a chance to do service recovery with TS directly.

Also Florence where got imply TS is a liar? I can only say she might not have investigated carefully.

Well, she gave her side of her story to a party not involved. If she wanted to deal with the TS directly, she should not explain to the 3rd party, but should either:

1. Ask muvouser for TS contact details, and deal directly with the TS, or
2. Register and log on to CSnap and reply the TS here in this thread.

TS already said he was not shown 4 sets. And Florence in reply said her staff showed him 2 sets. In that statement itself, she already implied that TS is not telling the truth (ie. a liar). If she did not investigate carefully, she should not have let go a statement such as this, and to a 3rd party that is not involved, that is even worse. Terrible management judgement call.

Well, the rule of the game is, see people chop carrot.

If u cant make any reference in who you know and the prices you are aware of, and if you look like a carrot asking amaturish or touristy questions, they will take out a nice blade to make you sushi.

try cathay at marina vs peninsular. if u dress like a jap, talk like one, walk in, they will take out a good german blender and make nice milkshake from your wallet.

Rule of game is about anchoring opportunistic profitisation. No love loss even if you blast it out in open forum cos you did not do due diligence and appeared to be gullible.

sorry, am abit blunt here, but this is biz, this is life. But take it easy and enjoy photography. What matters more is your enjoyment rather than pondering on the setbacks. Chill ya.

In dispute management, sometimes you have to trust your staff is telling the truth otherwise there is no basis to rely on. However, if the other side came back with strong supporting proof, then the management should investigate further and upon finding out that their staff is lying, they should have the decency to come out and apologize to the customer. Hiding behind and hope the incident will blow over is not the best for the company's image.

With so many people complainting about this plump guy from the shop, maybe Florence is placing misguided trust in this staff. Perhaps it is about time she faces up to the truth and do something to rectify the situation otherwise this staff is going to continuously "pour rice" for her.

However, in family business, the staff might also be a relative of the owners so sometimes it is hard to "fire" a relative so just have to take the hit time and time again.
 

I will close this thread.

There are always 2 sides of the coin. We are not here to pass judgment, arbitrate nor it is our job. Members are free to read and form their conclusion, no point fighting over it. Go shoot more and enjoy this wonderful hobby rather than bickering over such issues.
