MPT Race Queen Search 2008

I went but nothing is suitable for shooting.

There wasnt enough light and there wasnt any clear indications. Race Queens (or girls) are too far away. RAcing cars were in a distant. Crowds were about 30 meters away (pitch dark). Only official photographers were allowed to be close.Even with a Nikon D3, you cant shoot anything.

I saw about 3 photographers shooting. I dun think they got any good shots. Would be keen to see their pictures though.

At 30m.... we need a 400mm f5.6 L with 1.4 teleconvertor and a flash extender, if possible also a sekonic light meter and ladder

The experience, if you were there, would also to see how it difficult it is to snap for Formular One in September.

Now i feel that i should have taken some scenes to show everyone....

should not be a problem for our officer....
He can whack a target far away with a kenko 500mm mirror lens using manual focusing:thumbsup:

In pitch black??? Even with a flash, you get a badly lit subject and totally dark background. Then have to post under 'Abstract' rather than 'Sports' le.

ask officer...think there nothing that officer cannot do.....the more challenging the subject, the better he able to perform.:thumbsup:
