Enjoy!
It was very cold with the breeze last night...
These were taken handheld...

Thanks for your comments...
Waiting to cath the full moon ;-)

They seem to be blurred and grainy, but considering they are with 200mm lens i'm quite impressed :)

I think the slight blur is because it's at handheld.
If I mount on a tripod would've been better.
Yes, this is using the 18-200mm VR lens; It's a miracle!
This lens has replace a lot of others in my bag

Now I mostly deal with 3 lenses;
Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 D (super sharp with perfect bokeh)
Nikkor 18-200mm VR f/3.5-5.6 (It's a miracle!)
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 (find it even better than the Nikkor 12-24mm)

Do you see much difference between the 50mm F/1.4D and the 1.8D?
I have a 1.8D, but can't notice any diff with my 18-105mm @ 50mm.

I just borrowed a 50-500mm lens, i'll see how my moon shots turn out. I may have to wait until 9th Feb, because the moon has lost a lot of luminosity since the full moon.
The picture quality will have to be superb for me to consider buying one, since they retail for around $2,000 for a cheap one (so i've been told)

Sorry, but in my opinion it is not sharp enough. Too much shake, overexposure and oversharpened JPEG artifacts causing grainy illusion and loss of details. You should also not use the lens wide open, at least not for these kind of shots. I am not sure if focus was right since it is difficult to judge. Manual exposure is the best since metering, even spot, is fooled by the scene. WB should be set to sunny weather since even the WB sensor is fooled.

50mm f/1.4D shows a lot of difference between the standard zoom lens.
This is a prime lens and it has excellent bokeh.

Thanks for your honest comments OlyFlyer.
It's great hear from a guy like you who does DIY on Olympus and with so much technical knowledge.
Agree with you on the shakes as it was hand held.
These were taken with M-mode, using spot.
WB set to A3 ~ 4 which is known like "skylight" but on Vivid colors on Nikon.
Anyway I don't use standard WB or Image Control.
The moment I get a new camera, be it Nikon or Canon or Olympus, etc; I will do my own settings before use after a factory reset.

I will take your advise and yes will have to use a tripod next time.
I had the camera at the back of the car and just wanted to shoot.:embrass:

Power lar.. think someday if got full moon i gonna try it!!! wahaha
