Detailed Description:
Ultrawide full frame FX lens for Nikon F mount. Mint condition, no fungus etc, clean optics and exterior. Tested works flawlessly on both F mount dslr and Z mount mirrorless via FTZ adapter. First owner, bought at $760 and preloved. Hardly used, selling because changing camera brand.
I bought this lens after researching very long last time, this is why you should consider it:
- 77mm filter thread, very rare on an ultrawide full frame lens. A lot of them have bulbous front glass and thus no filter thread, or if there is, they have huge non-standard size filter threads. This is great to mount your 77mm ND, CPL, etc filters. Especially landscape shooters
- you most likely buy an ultrawide for the widest focal length. This lens gives you a fast f2.8 at the wide 17mm end, great for astro, indoor shoots etc, plus flexibility of zooming in conveniently
- lightweight and portable lens, advantage of a variable f2.8-4 aperture. With nikon cameras nowadays, even f4 at the 35mm end is enough and images are not noisy
- Pin sharp lens. This is the new generation of Tamron, new optics, not the old 17-35mm. I can always shoot wide open and images are perfectly sharp
- autofocus is fast
- a modern full frame f2.8 ultrawide at this price is literally a bargain, your gain my loss
Includes all original caps and lens hood, full box set, and all manuals and original receipt. My favourite carry around lens. Always protected by filter.
