What would be the lighting situation there be like?

BTW what is the distance between the setup and the model?
Not sure what lens to bring down...1st time trying out studio shoot.

hi scanner , u don't need a tripod unless u are shooting multi-exposure.

During our last shoot , the only time when the tripod sees action is when we took a group pic.

unless yr hand shake at speed of 1/60, otherwise we should not have problem

except for Radix , each will now pay $40 unless if one backout then the price will rise

Since we have 6 person , each is about 15 min,(-change cloths,resting, makeup). If u guys want more , we can increase, but the minium is 1 hr , so it mean 1hr studio more and 1 hrfor model cost. Anyway 15 mins is good enough for 1 roll of 36.If 1hr more we have to pay about $15 for extra of 8-10 mins

anyway for those interested u can still sign up, if more than 3 we can extend for 1-2 hrs.

Hi astin, forget to ask u what is yr small f stop? F8 or f11
Grey card available in CP,not sure if u need white balance or not.

Using the laptop is just to help u to get the colour without much post processing.

to all attending the shoot ,please bring along yr external flash,in case yr in built pc sync is not working.

I am using Sony F717, the smallest F-stop is F8. The in-camera auto white balance looks ok to me.

for studio portraiture, if u wanna shoot safe, u need to over exposed at least 1 stop but no more than 3 stop.

This will help u when u wanna print the result, overexposed result is much more easier to adjust rather than under exposed. Under exposed adjustment will bring out all the grain.

Usually if u wanna make a little bit bright and soft, u need to used soft-filter and in this case, u need to over exposed 2 stop.

tips that i got from some taiwanese photographer, they always over exposed at least 1 stop then when printing, tell the lab not to do some adjustment, then the result is quite bright, as usually u seen on some taiwan and japan magazine.

but if u wanna take high-key shoot, forget about make it over exposed.

only when doin high-key shoot, we cannot make it over or under exposed coz it will make the white is no longer white when u print it.
