Please see http://www.kingston.com/digitalmedia/cf_elite.asp?tabs=ds which says clearly that: Speed Rating*** - Up to 10MB/sec. read rate and up to 8MB/sec write rate 50X - all capacities except 4GB=45X *** Speed may vary due to host and device configuration. Btw, 50X means 7.5MB/s, and 45X means 6.75MB/s. But having said that, 50X is good enough for most cases IMO!
