I was observing this MO with some concerns too... though I did transfer the money to Meng but my name has not been updated in the list, my concerns are not about the delivery of the stuff. It is possible that something could have happened to Meng and I hope he is ok.

Think about it, could anyone be that foolish? it's small amount $, so it's quite unlikely... just hoping that our CSer member is ok...

Is there anyway to find out what happened to Meng even without his contacts? he did leave behind his bank account details in post# 45.

I guess there's nothing we can do except wait.. I believe meng wun be stupid enough to cheat us of $12 each then ruin his own reputation.. Lets just hope he's all right and will hear from him soon.. If not, then just treat it as we spend $12 have a meal ba..

I think losing $12 is alright to most of us...
but we should still try to do something about it...

Just hope someone in CS can provide us with his personal mobile no.

I dont think it is unreasonable to call him personally, as he has already went MIA for quite awhile..

I do feel that when there is a MO done, there should be basic information provided to the people joining the MO. Even though it may only be a small amount, but it is important to be able to contact the MO organizer.

I nearly committed myself in sending him the funds, but I waited for a confirmation from him that he's still around via PM. Since there is no reply, I didn't want to transfer funds.

I feel that all MO organizers should provide information to the administrators in the following format. This information may not be revealed to the MO participants - but administrators should keep for emergency purposes.

This can help ensure the accountability of the persons conducting MO. This may be troublesome for the administrators, however i do feel that measures like this is necessary.

As for yr suggestion, i think it has already been implemented as this section is under moderated by the admins and so far they have been doing a good job other then this is a missed.

Given what you've just been through and the cost of the packaging (2USD = 3.5ish SGD), I would bite the bullet and do it yourself. I placed an order on Sunday and it will be here next week for 8 USD including packaging (for my 350D). Great customer service via e-mail as well.

Looking at the demand in this MO and if you REALLY can't bear the additional price of a cup of coffee, you could even order a few spare for 350D, D200, 30D and others and sell them on later spreading your packaging cost !!

As a newbie, this thread almost put me right off MOs in general. Fortunately people like Oracle and the way he deals with people (and his prices :bsmilie: )help me keep the faith !! Hope nothing serious has happened to Meng and you guys manage to get your da screens.
