MO: Cheapest Ever Studio Lighting Kit

Understand that these strobes have no power controls - full blast all the time. Just wondering whether there are any product out there that we can buy to achieve 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, ... etc power instead of full power all the time?

There is such product. However the price is alot more higher, around 10x the price of this bulb.
Here I'm offering low cost solution to studio lights. I'm not bringing in those expensive light, as they're already available locally.

I just return to Singapore. Update was below, posted on 12-oct.

UPDATE

Shipment will be delayed :cry: The supplier don't have enough ready stock to fulfill my huge order. This is also partly due to the closure of factory for the whole of last week during China National Day. I have to wait for the next production run. They have estimated that shipment will arrive in Singapore port on 9-Nov-05. My initial estimated date of arrival is 24 to 29-oct. That is around 2 weeks delay.

One piece of good news - I will be delivering 45ws bulb instead of the 40ws bulb. This 45ws bulb has a guide no. ISO100 @ 28m, and cost me slightly more. It will be package in item (a) at the same price to you - S$198.

I dunno if its possible or not... you might be able to try having these by using a voltage regulator... (theory... required voltage 1/1 = 220V, 1/2 = 110V, 1/4 = 55V, so on & so forth...)

I think if a dimmer/ regulator is used, all that's gonna happen is slow down the charging rate. Afterall, there's nothing to change the capacitance inside the strobe.
