Just coincide to day off, otherwise KM service opening hour same with normal working hour, a bit ridiculous ....
makes no diff, i just want to send in with my 7D just before warranty expire. ;p

Any news on the refund for the repaired defective CCD ? cause I had paid for the repaired cost of $250 with GST for with the defective problem Konica Minolta mentioned.

I had a sony F717 sent to Sony with same problem, the previous CCD repair charge fully refunded. So, i think KM will do the same.
 

try to call KM lah, I think they will refund.

there a 8 Jp DC companies involved in this CCD problem caused by Sony.

Refund or not, I am not sure but shouldn't they replace all CCD even those ok one? Reason is that they might be deflected one too. :think:

I went to KM service centre at Commomwealth Dr. Haw Par Techno Centre. I told them about my CCD problem. They will replace it FOC but I can only get my camera back at the end of the Nov 05. I am using 7Hi. Worth waiting!

Err........ FYI, I think I am the first KS Singaporean who send in for repair on monday. Now using Dynax 7 SLR first. ;)

Sent an e-mial to KM regarding the procedures for obtaining a refund from the repair of my A1 CCD on Thursday Night. Immediately got a call from KM Service Manager the next day and my request was granted. You may go to KM with your original receipt and ask for a refund. However, you will have to wait for about 3 weeks before you can collect the check from them.

One thing which surprised me was KM service. KM service level has gone up. I must say it was really good during my visit. The service manager was especially helpful on the phone and also by person and the recept lady was polite and smile at you when you leave.
 

haha maybe too many complaint letters liao... ;p
 

I have lost of service receipt ... anyone manage to get a refund without one? changed in Mar :(

Check if they can retrieve the work order form from their technical side. That would be proof of payment.
 

Where are KM service center ah? Theres one at Funan right? Can I send my cam down there for repair?

They moved to commonwealth liao la. Go to their website and take a look at their new address. Abt 10 minutes walk from commonwealth MRT. It is on the side whereby the MRT go to the west. Got it? ;)
 

Might be too early to post this but anyway, since I can remember, why not?

When you get back your camera, make sure you do a test over there. I been "con" before as when I send for cleaning the lens (which cost me $60), I ended up paying another $80 (if I am not wrong) after I found the EVF is not functioning well. I was just opposite funan that time and my EVF got problem. Can't remember the detail but I still have to pay for it. :angry:

Another time, after EVF repaired, the control is not working :bigeyes: Lucky thing is that I check at the SC else I will be end up paying again.

Take my advise, do a check on all before leaving the SC else any things go wrong, apart from the repaired problem, you will be CHARGE! Make sure all control function well, EVF got no ink leakage, no fungus etc...

Still got a month to go before collecting my D7i. Meantime, I am happy with the Dyanx 7. :D

:thumbsup: "Thank you for patronising and support our product. Wish to inform you there will be a refund for CCD problem. Kindly bring along your " Official Receipt " ( blue copy ) & " Repair Order Receipt " ( pink copy ) to our service center. Once we verify will call you when cheque is ready for collection.

Your kind understanding would be greately appreciated.

If you don't have above then you will need to know as the KM service center reply;

:thumbsup: "we need the pink copy repair order receipt number in order to trace. We will try our best to trace, may i know the date on your blue official receipt that is the date you collected your camera. It will be good if you know the date send in and model number.

Alternatively in you can let us know the name of the person written on the pink copy or telephone number this might help."

call them already, they really start to repair and refund process lah.
