Minolta free service for CCD problem

Looks like I'm gonna CC to those Countries KM too else I'm gonna spend money buying another PnS for my gf :think:
 

KM service really weak. Wonder will there be buyer in the end or not? Maybe from oversea got but local, see oversea discount/service is 100X better than us, making us think of jumping liao. :(

How long have this new been release for the US, Jap and Europe countries?

Maybe they need time to get the correct component or to prepare for the mass repair before they announce. Funny thing is that the website actually don't have Singapore inside. How bout other asia countries? Are they mention in the website too?

well...should think hard whenever make such large purchases lor...but anyway...maybe of us here are still sticking to KM is not because of the services they provide lor...its simply that they have a product that works and delivers...however...services should improve drastically if they intend to establish a market here lor...heh...kindof a chicken and egg situation...which comes 1st?...larger consumer market share?...or good services to attract that market??...:think:
 

In local, service is important. Like those telco, once poor service from them, a lot of ppl start to jump. In sales, if your service is top notch, even your price is slighty higher, there are still buyers. Compare to a poor service and even how cheap or how good is their product, for me, no way. Since I am paying for it, shouldn't I be getting some good service for you?

Just make a phone call, someone lurking me to the dark side, with a wide range of lens offered but I still stick to KM for now. Will go to dark side when back side itchy :bsmilie:
 

Try calling Dell hotline and talk to the lady on the phone. I am very impressed! :thumbsup:
 

Singapore not in becos the link is for KM Europe ...

I think the news is since Sunday and someone did mentioned in foreign forum saying that some KM service centre in other region may not have the supply for the CCD replacement. KM need to work with Sony on the chip itself and Sony will bear all the cost :thumbsup:

Let's see ....

Btw, hope they annouce BIG BIG on the paper. Not all KM users (those models) will know abt this cause and they just get another camera (brand to be excat).

jump where? almost all other cam companies views sg market as "little red dot" compared to their main market where they are battling out.
 

Not really, singapore buying power is quite high and the upgrade rate of dc also quite high ...

Look ard ... canon, nikon, lumix are selling so well ...

at least Nikon & Canon has very good aftersales customer support.
I even posted a query on Canon's feedback page regarding modding service on 300D to become an IR cam. The technician called me up personally to ask what exactly I want and say sorry that they cannot provide the service. KM? They only replied me regarding extended warranty question. Other queries has no reply!

agreed...personally I think Canon's after sales service are good. But that's at the cost of higher "upfront" capital cost as compared to places like HK (which I have no doubt service standards should be similar)

Would you prefer to pay for your AS on cam or for multiple IS on lenses? ;) And only "L" lens are "good"... the consumer lenses sometimes CMI.

haha. im not a KM owner. i use canon. but i used the email method for some other elec products :)

Tat's why I lean towards 5D than 350D ... and minolta consumer lens have good reputation overall ...
 

KM China, HK, Japan had given free service liao. if you still hold receipt of last CCD changed, they refund the money.

no news from KM Singapore. really sucks!what hell a they doing?:angry:
