now everything is quiet. This was taken at the peak
hour when everyone is supposed to have just arrived at work...

An end to an iconic figure along 八德路 in Taipei.
Zhong Xing Bai Huo 中兴百货 was an iconic departmental
store along this street but it finally fell to the worsening
economy... so sad to see this place finally saying its goodbye...

Even at night, looking out from the balcony of my suite,
I no longer see the bustling night life of Taipei.
A few of the famous night markets have already
ceased operations as business fell to an all time low.
Reports on the news said that it almost felt like the period
after World War II.
