At first glance I rather like this photo, but then I realize a few things:
1) i find the shadow on the bottom right to be distracting.
2) There isn't a strong subject for my eyes to naturally "lock on" to. I find myself scanning the photo too much. The main reason (to me) is the number of rocks in the foreground, 'fighting' for attention. In the end none do.
3) The clouds seem quite strongly magenta. Should be due to filter or PP?

Hello Uncle ZCA, Thanks for the comments. My first try shooting rocks in the afternoon sun so the shadow on the right is from other big rocks beside it. There is not much PP for most of the afternoon shots. Just crop, saturate a little, add a bit of vibrance, de-noise and sharpen. Except for the B&W version.

Perhaps, you may consider experimenting with circular polarizer to increase contrast of the sky and perhaps even the rocks and water surface when taking photographs in the afternoon.

Done correctly, one will get darker shade of blue from the sky when using a circular polarizer.

Hello Uncle Squid, Have not see you for quite a long time now since Ghaz outing at Bedok Reservior. Thanks for the C&C. Yes I think is a good suggestion to use the polarizer in afternoon sun. Something I forgot and learn now. Thanks so much

I really like this photo! :)
Pity about the 3rd rock from the left, which interferes with the 2nd rock.

hehehehe nitpicking!

Hi Uncle ZCA,
thanks for C&C. This is actually two pictures digitally blended together.
Btw, I cannot move the rock, heh. Can help me to move? :bsmilie:

Manita, nice one from lower pierce.

Can go stronger contrast on this one to get more impact. Bring the highlights up some more and the blacks down a little in curves...

Sometimes, just be daring a bit on PP, go for a stronger picture stronger feel. Try it, see how you like it. ;)

Hi Uncle Albert, Wow.. Ok ok, I be a bit more fierce with the PP. Will definitely try.
Thanks so much.:)
