Was this on the 10 July, a Sunday evening? I also noticed the evening sky was furious red/orange for a few mintues. I thought it was the end of the world.

how did u get this effect? the sky is so much darker than the water...
Hi stuck, thanks for visiting and glad it work for you...:) For #124, I process in Aperture first and do some cleaning up.For the sky, I added gradient in PS in order to get this dark especially the top part of the frame. So you have this dark to lighter contrast for the sky. Of course for the water, it is LE. In all you have three to four layer tones of contrast to achieve what I want.
This is much a minimalism process and you can see a lot of this type of examples in flickr and else where. For such processing, now I do it with a lot of how I feel and lesser of what I want..Thanks again.....:)

PS: your punggol seascape is nice too..:0
