[MGohzxc] APWP - Singapore is Beautiful

shadow means who did ya follow

@edu, she was with deanna ng (did i spell her name correctly?)

Meant it in the context of "to understudy".

Ah, Deanna Ng, hope you had fun. :)

Oh yes, Is Deanna Ng and she was my mentor during the project. She is a very nice and very patient lady. She taught me and another student about photography and photo journalism. At first I did not quite understand but after awhile, I learn what photo journalism is about and is a tough subject. Anyway, it was a very good experience for me. Learn alot....:)

Yes, Miss Sunshine.. spotted your name :) Well Done.. Hope to see more new works in the future..

Hi Bro. Zul. Thanks and thanks for everything, showing me the way to places and sharing with me your photography.

Yes you were right. This place is so dangerous even is quite low tide. My dad was helping me to get across all the rocks but in the end, he said to turn back because it was too slippery for both of us. But manage to get some shots too. Hope to see you soon.:)

Amazing series Manita! I'm 3 x ur age, wish I had 1/3 of ur talent! Keep up good work! Good luck for psle!

This is good.

I must say though, I am getting a bit tired with minimalistic works here. There are few which really stand out for me. It's really more than just putting one thing, floating it there with a long exposure and then cloning out the horizon. I fear that all that is being encouraged is simplistic composition where more complex scenes will not be handled properly as long as there is more than one key outstanding element. Anyways, this one is good. Thanks for sharing.

On another note, did you try a sharper angle with a square crop?

Hi -edutilos,
thanks and I understand what you mean.
I will also do other types of landscapes :)
I did try a sharper angle but not with a square crop...will take note. Thanks again!

Well, I'm speaking in general; not talking about you - minimalistic style has its charms, but it, like any other thing such as GND, HDR, are just tools. To me, one as a craftsman should be picking and choosing his tools, not trying to find things to use the tools on. For example, if a carpenter is met with a carpentry project, not everytime he will need the saw. But if he just goes around looking for good things to use his saw on, what would you comment about his carpentry? I would say that he's a good saw-er, but a good carpenter, that's debatable. But that's me, perhaps - and perhaps I might come across as being too concerned about this concept of "good" or not, but I hope you get what I mean - it's about being versatile really. It's great that you have used the tool well here, that's just what I was trying to say. Cheers.

Hi Edutilos,
Yes your example of the carpenter is great for me to understand and thanks so much. At this moment, I am trying all the tools I can and to know more about each and every process and understand how it work properly. I am also worry that sometime I get carried away and I lost my touch for other things like proper composition with the correct elements or subject which are important when taking a picture. Yes, I agree and I want to be versatile (meaning can do different things). Until today, I am not satisfy at all with my landscape and seascape photos and I hope to be better soon. Thanks so much for your concern and appreciate it. :)

I think this is a popular spot for many photographers and is my second time taking this shot.
