Hi Manita,

I am impressed by your night shots. May i ask what lens are you using for these shots? they seem to come from the same lens. or are you using a few lenses? any filters used? Care to share? thanks!

Hi, thanks for visiting and glad you like it.
I'm so shy to say it actually... There is only one lens I use for all of my landscape and is the 15-85 kit lens. I have been using this lens for more than a year now and I know this lens very well. Not bad at all. Sometimes I will use the 70-200 to capture subject that is far away and mostly for minimalist process.
Some of the photos you see here is wider than 15mm. I will take a few shots and will do stitching. I uses two filters for landscape. ND110 and ND106.
I do not use any GND filters. I use a black card and I'm so use to it already. Maybe a black card expert.:bsmilie:
The rest is processing.

The best for landscape is to use a UWA lens. I am using the 7D and my Dad promised to buy the 10-22 after my PSLE. So is time for me to remind him.:bsmilie: Definitely will also buy the GND filters too.

Thanks again :)

Nicely done!
Nice wide view, and you managed to include the Flyer too! How many images did you stitch to make this pano?

You intentionally went for a very strong blue cast?

Hello uncle Kelvin, how are you and thanks for visiting. Is a 6 frame stitch. two images for each frame to do exposure blending. So is actually 12 images. This is possible because is not LE. About 2 to 3 sec for each image. The sky was quite bright and most buildings in the foreground was quite dark. That is why I do this way.
Yes agree, there is quite a strong blue cast and probably push the slider a little too hard.:bsmilie:

Thanks so much for the C&C....:)

#42 composition doesn't work for me, & the beauty of the blue hour is dominated by the not-so-pleasant orange hues from the streets and the tall building. the presentation also seems very flat, the tones are not lush and deep enough. could be too little shadows after tonemapping? also the picture looks smudged and lacks resolution/detail.

#41 same problem, severe detail-loss. the lights are too orange for my liking, I'd prefer them to be bright yellow.

#40 nice and crisp, attractive blues. the dark patch at the bottom distracts, and the edge where the helix bridge is, suffers detail loss and is disturbing. anyway it's a good thing that they've switched off the floodlights at the floating platform, which gives a nice sweeping view of the CBD. better shoot more before they turn it on for some event again :bsmilie:

good effort in trying manual tone-mapping though. I gave up and instead used photomatix's default and then processing in PS after that ;p

Hi elavan, I'm still awake.. and thanks for visiting. I like this sort of C&C.:)

#42 - yes, not so great composition..:( for the orange hue, well noted. Maybe I de-saturate the shadow a little too much in tone mapping. For me I think the details are quite alright but a little smudge. Is a 3 image and I think is due to the ghost effect I did not apply to get rid of and cause to loose some resolution. All noted.

#41 - Hhmmm, I don't see any detail lost actually, and I thought is not so orange for this one. Should go out and look at the street light again..:bsmilie:
Well noted for this one.

#42 - I agree on the dark patch at the bottom frame. Should crop about 1 cm away. On the helix bridge edge, I don"t understand.. Yes lucky the floating platform light is not on. Otherwise it will spill all over the place..

I am also using the same software now and I may want to change later.. I am trying out all the sliders and try to know what it can do. Is really hard andneed alot of time.

Thanks for your detail C&C and thanks for visiting...:)

Goodnight..
