Heard of this band Divine Heresy, will try them out.

Dunno how accurate the figures are but Maiden's latest album is 5th in SG for chart postitions! Very impressive for a metal album.

Divine Heresy to trash for me. The drum track sound like a Machine gun.

Rarely I've seen James Hetfield & Dave Mustaine side by side on stage. The rest made up of Anthrax and Slayer guys.

Not only that, I think SG got quite a few metal fans. Queensway still got that little store that sells more obscure metal CDs at ex prices. Just last year, I wanted to buy Mastodon's new album Crack the Skye and was 2 weeks late (from release date). Went to Gramophone and HMV and was told the ablum was sold out across their stores and have to wait 2 more weeks. :bigeyes: Asked Gramo to reserve 1 and call me when it arrive. So I think the metal scene is quite healthy.

That was an excellent video. I've never seen James and Dave together before and did they hug at the end?! :bigeyes: Lars is balding, he should just shave botak!

oooh.. and anyone here knows of Protest the Hero??? AWESOME BAND! their music is very... conversational.. like its always a conversation between the 2 guitars.. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! you might wanna try it.. hmm.. i'm not really a fan of Maiden, I don't like their sound.. perhaps too 80s for me.. :|
but Metallica/Bodom/Stratovarius/Helloween/Sonata all still good for me..

I know alot of "closet" metal fans.

Closet as in people like myself, working in the office in shirt & ties suits etc. Basically cant tell you are a metal head but when the wife or gf isnt in the car, the metal music is turned up & you find yourself headbanging alone while driving

yup.agree with you.eventhough on my younger years(college/band days) i really dont dress obvoiusly.
well i can say in not in fashion but i prefer listening than displaying :sweat:
