So many wonderful shots, these two are quite magical. Just a guide, you mentioned 1 min exposure for the 1st one, how high of an ISO did you use?
Thanks ahbian for ur kind words. I took that 12mm shot at ISO of 5000 at exposure of 70 seconds. I did try to take it at lower ISO settings but at a longer exposure of 1min 30 sec, on closer inspection i will start to see the stars slightly oblongish from rotation, though at forum posting sizes it will not be apparent ( thats probably me nit picking .. ).
Here is a shot from air from my second heli ride in the later afternoon ( a Heli Hike at Fox glacier, check out Heli Hike : http://www.foxguides.co.nz/ the whole package was about 3+ hrs for us )
This is a top down view of Victoria falls at Fox Glacier, a lovely waterfall that the heli-hike guides will usually bring heli-hike tourists to walk a little closer weather and glacier permitting ( we did not get too closed though, and it was really on the verge of raining for our trip but thankfully not canceled - this should have been a more sunny shot on usual days ) Mountains on the left, glacier grounds on the right. Part of the "dirtiness" rather than the clean bluish glacier coloration due to the coating soot that flew from an Aussie forest fire a while back.
