MASS ORDER: High GN Slave flash suitable for digital camera

If you need it urgently, I can meet up with you to pass you the flash some time next week, preferably near on the west mrt track.

I'm not complaining about the delay by the manufacturer, which I understand and was therefore willing to accept the flash till end April. My unhappiness is that the flash has been ready for more than a month and u have been sitting on it while all of us have been kept waiting. U should accept responsibility for the delay this past month, for this is entirely unfair to us.

I'm sorry, when I started this last year, and I had plenty of time to manage it. I could just go down there almost any day and get it, then hold a collection.
However, I didn't expect it to drag until now, and now I don't have very much time at all. Thus the delay.

If u know that u won't have time these few months, u should not have proceeded with the order in early Apr when given a choice by Suntax. In being the organiser/coordinator for this MO, u should show some responsibility in making timely delivery when goods are ready. U should not expect others u to live by your timetable. What if u are not free for the next 3 months, everybody just waits? Where is the cut-off point where enough is enough?

I paid in advance in the belief that u would be trustworthy to deliver the goods timely. So, the money is now with u and there isn't much else I can do except complain about it. My patience has been expended and telling me tentatively collect next week is meaningless.

Perhaps others who knows about this wayward MO can advise me as to what recourse I have in such situations.

Hi Darren, meng, stk & the rest of the guys,


Seems that this MO has caused quite a bit of distress to everyone including Zoomer.

This MO was originally started by Zoomer out of goodwill but unfortunately it wasn't well managed.

I have gotten the flash from Zoomer's friend on 9th May '03 as I told him that I urgently needed it for a photo shoot for my charity organisation's activity on the 10th of May.
On 10th May, I've tested out the slave flash to work well with my friends'
- Nikon CP5000 (set to trigger on 1st flash)
- Canon G3 (set to trigger on 2nd flash)


To make things simple for everyone,
since Zoomer has finally replied & offered to distribute the goods on 4th June (Wed), pls confirm your attendance first.

When collecting the flash from him, pls do keep your cool.
Let's give Zoomer another chance.


N.B.
I have never met Zoomer in person before.
So far I manage to contact him via his starhub email account &
also by sending SMS to his Hp.

Pls do spend a little of your precious time to frequently check out & reply to this thread until everyone receive their flash.
I believed you have subscribed to this thread right?

Can I request Zoomer to pass the contact of the person who is making these slave flashes Digital Cam compatible? I am looking for a good slave flash for my A70 and given all these hoo haa about this MO, I dun mind paying a bit more premium to get my flash in my hand. I am sure this would also benifit others here who are looking to get a slave flash as well....thanks!

Place: Peninsular Plaza Basement Foodcourt

If you see a black, yellow and red box with Suntax flashes, you would have gotten to the right place.

I understand that some of you are rather unhappy with how long this MO took, and I apologise for the unexpectely long time and hitches that delayed things.

stk, sorry for all the trouble. Hope you and Sk8te can work something out. In any event, please do make sure that one of you collects your flash next Wednesday.

Hi Zoomer....can you let me know how you went about ordering these slave flashes with the manufacturer? I think most likely I will need to go and order one for myself.

Most likely stk will want his flash if it shows up on Wednesday. If it does not show up on Wednesday, I am not taking over his MO also...I think I rather save everyone the trouble and get it ordered myself. I am sure there are others here who are also looking for a good and affordable Digital Slave Flash... So dun mind...can you give me the contact or at least what to tell the fellows at Suntax....Cheers!

Actually, after consideration over the weekend.. I've decided to let the flash go if anyone wanna takeover my order. If qhelix's flash has been sent out, Sk8te can take over my unit. Anyone else who is interested in the flash can also let me know since Sk8te may already be taking over qhelix's unit.

If no takers, I'll be at SEED this Wed at 6:30pm to collect the flash.
