MASS ORDER: High GN Slave flash suitable for digital camera

Zoomer,

I think you should at least keep 1 unit for a couple of weeks (before they finish the rest) and really test it out!

After such a lengthy saga, we are all understandably nervous about the expected quality! Would appreciate if you can put some mileage on the sample and give us an update.

I have decided to give one unit to quelix (as he is in Perth most of the time and would not be able to wait for Jan), the other unit, I dunno. Maybe I'll use it to show these who want to "try and see if it works", and perhaps we would have more orders. This also serves to test the flash out to see if there are any bugs/issues with it. But if anyone needs it urgently, just tell me and I'l let you have it.
I'll be collecting it from their office at bedok next week.

Okay, I will do that.
If anyone has any urgent need for the flash, I will pass one unit to you.

Perhaps when we are collecting, we can turn them all on and try it out. Its GN28m, but 10 of these should still result in a pretty strong flash.

Imagine: 2 units reflect off floor, 2 units left, 2 units right, 3 units go up and the last unit deliver a low power direct flash. :devil:

The flash will require 4 pieces of AA batteries.

can it use with G2 and Canon 420 speedlite? ( just bought a slave adaptor from CP 2 days ago. but it is not work with the 420 speedlite. )

and when the stock coming? as i am going over to UK soon. thanks..

or if it is possible then i want to try it first, thanks.

Guys, do be aware. Wireless slave units may not work if you switched your main flashgun to pre-montioring mode. For example, for Nikon 3D matrix metering, the flash actually give our a series of fast flashes to gauge the distance between the subject and the camera. Such pre-montioring flash can trigger the slave unit such as SB-26 or slave unit SU-4. So what will happened is the slave flash will fire without the shutter been released.

I don't think the G2 has a premonitering mode. Just a normal preflash, right? If so, it'll work but I'm not too sure about your 420EX.

For the collection date, I can't give you a date cos the manufacturer doesn't seem to be able to promise me anything.

qhelix, I can pass you one set before you go off for Aussie land.

This is the longest and most troublesome MO I ever did. Next time, I'm gonna recommend people to buy the F1000.
