I heard of slave flashes that flashes when the camera is trying to focus. Will this happen on the 602?

hi, i use eos1000. is this flash something worthwhile as a primary flash? cos it sounds nice and cheap. or should i be getting some of those canon 420EX 550EX instead ,which are bluddi expensive?

Correction, the F717 has a hotshoe. Us F707 users are still stuck with a dummy hotshoe

You can place a order and I'll try to get them to make it.

Deposits not necessary until I can confirm that they can make.

This flash senses when your camera actually fires its flash, and I don't know of any digicam that actually fires its flash to focus. (SLR have, but that's another story)

This flash is the only reason why i'm not upgrading my digicam. Kinda waiting for X3 technology to be released, either that or just wait for S2Pro prices to come down.

I would not even dare to speculate. Although they have given me a date, I think they're going to push it back.

Hmm...I'm more inclined to believe that they have problems making it. They always gave me crap excuses like they are tuning it, tech have some problems need some time to solve, be patient etc.

Hi Zoomer,

So far any good news from the supplier?

Do you think it'll better they deliver 2 working sets for you to try first before they deliver all the stocks.
1 set to try on digital camera & the other to test on film SLR.

Hope that they will deliver something good so that we can save the hassle of returning it to them for modifications later.

Good News
They have completed 2 units of the flash as sample! (Finally)
I have decided to give one unit to quelix (as he is in Perth most of the time and would not be able to wait for Jan), the other unit, I dunno. Maybe I'll use it to show these who want to "try and see if it works", and perhaps we would have more orders. This also serves to test the flash out to see if there are any bugs/issues with it. But if anyone needs it urgently, just tell me and I'l let you have it.
I'll be collecting it from their office at bedok next week.

Bad News
They can only finish the rest around Jan 03. Something about christmas rush, etc etc.

Woohoo! That sounds great, but actually I dont mind collecting it together with the rest since I'll be in Singapore again on the 26th Jan. It's up to you anyway. I'm studying in Melbourne btw, not Perth.
