Sometimes some of us want to know why we should not jump to their camp :D
It’s true; I got my CZ from a nice bro here who think Sony too expensive to follow, and just... jump to other camp, that's all

New lens sony will launch this coming PMA??:dunno:

Now only you discover ..

DT 50 f1.8?
Why can't they make it wider since there will be a 1.5X crop factor imposed.
A DT 35mm/30mm f1.8 will be nice.

Because 85mm is the ideal portrait range. And 50x 1.5 is 75, so close enough.

Why waste your time arguing with ignorants. Spend more time shooting better. Let them say what they like lah. It's not as if if we win the argument they will jump to our camp right?

hahaha I totally agree with you bro.. i see no benefit from all this arguments.

and even if they jump to our camp.. So..? unless sony wil lower their prices if more users jump to sony... :bsmilie:

you can always argue it another way: with built-in IS in alpha bodies, alpha users should be able to get sony lenses at cheaper prices, just because since Sony lenses are non-IS, they are logically cheaper than those with IS.

hence you should compare price Sony's lenses with other non-IS lenses

other than that, other factors must be considered too: IQ, SSM, coating, etc etc.

i agree with you.

"一分钱, 一分货"... pay peanut, dun expect to get gorilla...

CZ is the one that supplies all the machines and QA engineers... Doesn't matter where the factory is. My 24-70 is made in japan though.
lol.. what I mean is the China made "CZ". You should know what I mean..

Yeah, but I don't think they'll really waste time on faking it... Once you see how complex it is...

Exactly, and the 30/2.8 macro is almost similar like a 50 FF hence the release of this somewhat 'strange' distance. Math is not easy for generations that grew up with a calculator .. :bsmilie:

High-end lens and A900 owners however will not exactly start dancing in the living room looking at this 'fabulous' announement made during the PMA.

Strongly agree with you, bro. :D

75mm or 85mm would be too tight for indoor shots, esp I dun own a big house...

I was hoping Sony can come out a low light wide angle like 24/28/30mm with F1.4 or F1.8....which would be more versatile, can use as portrait or normal lens...

30mm F2.8 Macro is nowhere here nor there and 50mmF1.8 is quite not useful as there is 50mmF1.4 already unless it sells for less than $200 or so.

Err... 75mm is actually wide enough for an indoor portrait. Or are you talking about a group shot? Then you'd not be using a large aperture due to thin DOF, might as well use your Tamron lens.

You also already have the sigma anyway.

Yes, I agree as I have tried the 50mmF1.7 before, good for portraits and dun have to stand so near to the person (esp kids) will give more chance for candid portraits...

But when comes to full body or half body shots, really have to stand very far and sometimes i have to shoot the person in the living room from my kitchen!

Anyway, I agree group shots must be done at F4 and above, which makes big aperture lens useless....

Sigma30 was actually my stop-gap solution and see if Sony can come out something like CZ24/F1.4 as rumoured.....but anyway it would be very highly priced as well if it really happens....

Thanks for your advice though...

I read from somewhere, it is a 600mm F4.

If it's 600mm F4 G.. I think the price will be scary...
