I am not sure that you will be able to focus more accurately using the EVF. If you think about it, the EVF is much smaller than the LCD screen so if you view the same scene through both of them, the image in the LCD screen is much larger and should be easier to focus.
The view on EVF VF-2 is bigger than the LCD screen view, and higher res, so I don't find any need for magnifying further 99% of the time. This is important for fast response. If I have to magnify most of the time to MF, I'd rather move on to another camera. YMMV, as this is irrelevant to those who only shoot immovable subjects, or those who don't want to look through a VF.
