Reports in Thursday's national newspapers claimed Mourinho is set to land a three-year deal to replace Van Gaal as United boss at a salary of £15m-a-year.

Time line

Looks like more or less confirm, waiting for official announcement ...

A fourth placing for MU is good enough for LVG, he said. This is not what MU Board employed him for. After spending so much money and LVG thinks a fourth position is good enough. Rubbish, just see how not ambitious his words were. Trying to cover himself. MU is not built on such feeble targets, we are fighting for EPL title every single year regardless of who the manager, the first team and those who are injured and failed to contribute further. That's who we are since Sir Alex time. Now, LVG said fourth place is good under the circumstances. But who is responsible for this predicament we are in? He is the one. And IMO he will not bring us the title this year or next year, so better change another manager for us as soon as possible.

Match day!

3' - Goal. Sunderland 1 mufc 0. Khazri's low, curling free-kick deceives everyone and lands in the bottom corner.

GOAL Sunderland 1-1 Man Utd (39 mins). Martial is quick to the loose ball and chips it smartly over Vito Mannone

GOAL Sunderland 2-1 Man Utd (82 mins). Wahbi Khazri swings in a corner which Lamine Koné heads goalwards

No more excuses for LVG,he spent almost 250 millions of new players to adapt his boring system

Busy on the road, did not watch the game. What the hell is going on, LVG said MU can cope with Sunderland aggression??? Where is ours then? LVG has ran out of excuses but never blame himself for the philosophy he brought into the current team. Mind you, Sunderland is lying bottom 3 and we are still in 5th position. Sack LVG

Rooney left out due to knee injury!

Somehow, I'm not surprised with the scoreline.

Best De Gea injured during warm up!
