He is a martyr. At least now people know good a man manager Fergie was, and how poor he was at building a real squad. Fergie has got to be the best manager ever, being able to squeeze the extra 10% out from every player in the squad.

Van Gaal: United fans have to believe
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is asking fans to remain faithful and patient following the Reds’ shock 4-0 defeat to MK Dons.
His team’s premature exit from the Capital One Cup left the Dutchman feeling very disappointed and rueing “big errors” at costly times. But van Gaal hopes United supporters can see past the humbling reversal and await, in time, the impact of his arrival and ideas.
“It’s difficult for the fans, I know that, but they have to believe in our philosophy,” Van Gaal told MUTV. “At the end, they can judge, but not now. I hope they shall maintain their confidence in the club and in our philosophy because that philosophy takes time. We are building up a team which you can’t make in one month, even one year.”
Van Gaal was again impressed by his first-hand experience of United’s fans – in other words, those in attendance at Stadium MK, supporting the team from the stands.
“As they were at Sunderland, the fans were unbelievable. For me it’s unbelievable and it’s fine to hear that, but I don’t want to lose for the Manchester United fans. I want to give them victories and I’m used to giving victories to the fans and I hope we can turn around these defeats.”
Analysing the Reds’ defeat to the Dons, van Gaal cited big mistakes at bad times as chief causes for the cup exit.
“It was a matter of making errors at wrong moments,” he reflected. “When you see the goals against us, I believe there were big errors in the build-ups. When you make errors like that, you give the match away.”
The Dutchman admitted he risked a system change at half-time in a bid to turn the situation around and gave credit to the cards played by his opposite number, MK Dons boss Karl Robinson.
“I am a coach that is always taking risks because I want to win," said van Gaal. "It's also one match (a knock-out cup tie) so when you are thinking you have to win, you have to take risks.
“There was only one goal and one shot in the first half but then I changed the system and we played one against one over the whole pitch. We created a lot of chances then but we were not lucky.
“We had another building-up error and they scored (to make it) 2-0. Then you know it shall be very difficult. You cannot go back anymore because you have to win and there were a lot of spaces given away. The (MK Dons) manager anticipated that well by bringing in a forward who was very quick and used the space well. Out of other errors it was then 3-0 and 4-0. They (MK Dons) scored after each error.”
As for mitigating circumstances, van Gaal added: “We shouldn't forget that we have nine injuries (in the first-team squad). This means I’m having to look to the younger players and the second team which is the team we played tonight. When you analyse the situation it’s not as bad as you think."

Manchester United may attempt to use a makeweight in any deal to sign Arturo Vidal from Juventus, with their concerns about the player's fitness likely to make a straight cash deal difficult to reach.

But at the back of United minds will be the wretched experience – for both them and the player – that the 2007 signing of Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich proved to be. Hargreaves was plagued by knee trouble and played only 39 games for United in four seasons. Sir Alex Ferguson later labelled him his “worst” signing.
United are likely to argue that Juventus used Vidal for their own ends as part of their busy conclusion to last season – when they won Serie A and were Europa League semi-finalists – at a time when the meniscus trouble he was experiencing demanded medical intervention and rest. Juventus are looking for a substantial profit on the player, having paid Bayer Leverkusen only €10m (£7.9m) for him three years ago but have already missed out once by setting too high a price. Real Madrid’s interest led to a meeting before the World Cup between Vidal’s Argentinian agent Fernando Felicevich, Real president Florentino Perez and manager Carlo Ancelotti but the €60m (£47.8) asking price proved too high. Real instead bought Toni Kroos –a player three years younger than Vidal and half the price – €30m (£23.8m).
The sense that United might be interested developed a month ago. Beppe Marotta, Juventus chief executive, has categorically declared that Juve’s former United midfielder Paul Pogba is not for sale but he has not made the same point about Vidal.

The 21-year-old only joined United a year ago from Penarol but will move to Real’s B team Castilla to play under Zinedine Zidane. MANCHESTER UNITED are in talks to make their FIFTH summer signing, Dutch defender Daley Blind.
Former keeper Edwin van der Sar reportedly attended a meeting at the club's training facility in Carrington yesterday to help thrash-out a deal for the Ajax star.
Having been appointed a member of the Dutch club's management board in 2012, Van der Sar is said to be overseeing negotiations between his two former teams.
A deal for Blind would take the Red Devils' spending total past the £150m mark, with Ajax demanding in the region of £18m for the 24-year-old.
It follows the news that United have completed their bid to land Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid.
United announced they had broken the British transfer record by signing the winger for £59.7m from Real Madrid.
Posting the news on Twitter, the club revealed: "Manchester United is delighted to announce that Angel Di Maria has completed his transfer for a British record fee of £59.7million. Angel joins on a five-year contract."
The fee surpasses the previous record of £50m, which Chelsea set when they bought Fernando Torres from Liverpool in January 2011.

I think Angel will win it.
Cos Ed Woodward seems to be like suddenly MIA ... when the likes of Rojo Di Maria become available for us and he is too slow taking his on time in getting the plays thats why the supporters are getting tired of him together with Ed Woodward the wanted the Glazers out as well...
But he need to get his work permit first ...
