Ya... Rooney's 2nd hat-trick! Hmm... wouldn't it be good if he were to have hat-trick once a week?

Ok the real test is the CL n against blues!

no comment on the match... simply too good.. hope the young devils don be too proud..

UEFA Champions League

Benfica 1 - 1 Man Utd

1 point. Sian..:( Nothing much to shout about Man Utd's performance.

Good show by Lindergaard with a few great saves.....and Giggs with a good equaliser and almost got the second in the 2nd half..:)
If this was a chance for rest of the players like Fletcher, Park, Giggs, Valencia, Fabio, Carricks to get some playing time...they had certainly had a good run out.

Next will be awaiting the arrival of Chelsea on Sunday.:devil:

There's only one Manchester at the top.. and its Red...

ouch!!! :bsmilie:

Sainz....u all lucky man! Today all become bobo shooter think kena influence by your Torres! All follow him play rugby penalty conversion!

cannot believe 50million striker cannot shoot open goal ?? Lucky to ManU for tis type of 'super' striker, else result might change..
I still think ManU was lucky last nite.. but not everytime lady luck is with us.. saw the earlier game of l'fools n spurs.. don understand why l'fools player so rough-playing n brainless. Why they want to break other player leg then 'kum wan'? Serve them good lor, their key player injured till now...

Imo it was the intensity and nerve that causes all those....And one thing I am very sure is English player can never take a penalty....I don't know why they like to chope the freekick and set pieces....just because they are English???? And how many time we saw them slip at last moment when they kick the ball???? Happened to Beckham, Terry and now Looney.....it was on home ground somemore....really shameful, I dare to say Nani or Anderson can take better penalty....but my fav for dead ball specialist is still ex superstar Ronaldo :)

But then....Ronaldo did missed in one of the biggest match of his life.....so he is human after all :)

I really like Nistelrooy's penalties but he also missed before. I think if Rooney hadn't missed it, he'd make history with 3rd consecutive hattrick! His soft backheel went n hit the post while BBT tried to match Torres... I say final score should have been sth like 6-2 or 6-3 to Man Utd

Not so good News!!!

Boss upset by Chicharito blow

Javier Hernandez faces a return to the sidelines after being hurt by a lunging tackle by Ashley Cole during United's 3-1 win over Chelsea.

Chicharito was caught by the despairing challenge as he fired into the side-netting when looking to profit after Wayne Rooney's shot bounced back off a post with 13 minutes remaining.

It upset and puzzled Sir Alex, who saw the full-back booked but, as no penalty was awarded, there needs to be some clarity from referee Phil Dowd on the situation and whether the yellow card was for dissent.

"To me, it was a shocking tackle," protested the boss. "An absolutely shocking tackle.

"The referee's booked him and, if he's booked him, I don't know why it wasn't a penalty.

"I must ask him [Dowd]. We don't know how Hernandez will be. We're going to have to wait until the morning but, at the moment, his leg is very numb. He's hardly got any feeling in it so he could be out for a couple of weeks."

Sir Alex felt Cole's tackle was "reckless" and "over-committed" and could also be missing Chris Smalling for the upcoming matches against Leeds and Stoke.

"Smalling's got a groin injury so we'll see what it's like during the week," he added.
