United deny wrongdoing over Pogba signing

Manchester United have insisted that they have no case to answer over the signing of Paul Pogba from Le Havre this summer.

The French outfit were furious after United signed their 16-year-old starlet, dubbing United's tactics as a "foolish act".

It is now expected that La Havre will seek action from FIFA, following on from their decision to ban Chelsea from signing any players until July 2011 after the Blues were alleged to have induced Gael Kakuta to break his contract with another French club, RC Lens.

OT: Does anyone recall seeing the scousers wearing black armbands when they played Bolton???

Why is it they always wear black armbands?

http://www.the-gaffer.com/news/liverpool-everton-black-armband-shirt.html

they should just make a jersey like that!

U read the article? Its quite obvious that its a joke. Its heart break for them for the past 19 years! :bsmilie: They will wear double armbands when we win our 19th title! wahahah :bsmilie:

With no new players coming in for the next 2 window think they might have to struggle to hold on to its present crop of players!:bsmilie:

Actually I think a bit kelong also. They will appeal to the CAS and CAS will most prob suspend the sentence and then just give them a friendly fine. :(

Reds around the world!

It was a good day for Reds, with Luis Valencia the only United player to suffer defeat: Ecuador lost 2-0 against Colombia in Medellin.

does that mean they cant sell players also, with the effect of transfer ban?

No, they can sell all they want. They can't register any new players, meaning getting loan players also cannot. I think its a bit harsh, being banned for 2 transfer windows but its Chelsea, so nevermind! :bsmilie:

hahahhahaha! just imagine, some of their top players wanna leave the club, and yet the club can't buy players. that'll be a joke! lol!

Dun think so check this out: Robben predicts Blues exodus after FIFA ban

"But I think players who have no long-term relationship with the club may leave. The top clubs in Europe will be looking at Chelsea players now, and if they want to leave there is not a lot the club can do to stop them. For one of Europe's super powers not to be able to sign a player for two years would be a disaster."

I think their problems are more pressing as Jan is the African nations cup and they can't get in replacements or loan players when guys like Drogba, Essien and Kalou will be on international duty.
