There isn't a choice. 4 defenders out and 3 are in the 1st team. Vidic, Neville, Evra and Silvestre. If this happened to other clubs, they will crumble! Just ask mighty Chelsea when their Terry was injured. They made a huge fuss about it.

I think Man Utd can cope and hope we can get at least a scoring draw in Rome. :devil:

We only got 4 defenders left after 4 were injured. Bring only 4 to Rome is a bit risky but Richardson can play at left back but not so good. It seems that Fletcher and Saha recovered already and we're bringing 5 strikers. The defence is really stretched thin. I hope no one gets injured from now on.

Roma's counter attack is very good. I think we can't go all out attack at their home ground but I think we'll score at least a goal. If Vidic or Gary is around, I'm quite confident we will beat them.

Good thing is Paul Scholes in form! The midfielder returned with a goal against Blackburn on Saturday after a three-match suspension meaning he is on fire n very hungry!!!

Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer return from injury just on time! If not no eye see.:bsmilie:

No way SAF is going to leave out Rooney and put Saha and Ole upfront. Even though Rooney may not be scoring, he's always a threat to the opponent. I think he will be paired with Saha and Ole will come in later as a substitute for Saha.

Saha not fully match fit yet, unlikely to start while ole is unlikely to last the distance given his age. Both should come on as a sub esp ole! :devil:

I think Rooney might be alone in front in a 4-5-1 formation or Smith will be alongside him in a 4-4-2.

i considered tis to b quite a fair result for man utd since they lost scholes (red-carded in the 34th min) quite early in the game n conceded a goal (deflection) not long after tat...

man utd came out in the 2nd-half lookin' stronger even with a man down...closin' down roma more...forcin' them to only shoot frm range most of the times...

tat counter-attack by ronaldo, solskjaer n eventually finished of by rooney is :thumbsup: ...

hopefully tat away-goal by man utd can make a big difference at old trafford next wk... :sweat:

Wah Scholes is really disappointing! Conceed several FKs near the box and eventually got himself sent off in 35mins! So many mistimes tackles and his passes really lack of conviction. Wonder what was he thinking. :dunno:

Getting the goal is all that matters and its game on at OT! :devil:

But getting the league title should be top priority.

Yeah all Man Utd need to do is to score a goal first and Roma will be forced to attack. Their tactics should be to defend and hit on the counter, so if we score first then, we're in the driving seat.

Besides, win, lose or draw, Man Utd is expected to score at OT.

I think going for the treble is beginning to take a toll on the team. Left with 4 fit defenders only is really :sweat: ! I must say that SAF is really brave and he is still happy with lastnite's result. If its other managers, they'll moan and groan liao!

roma seemed to b quite wary of ronaldo too cos they deployed quite a few bodies to close him down quickly everytime he gets possession of the ball...
